Introducing the prototype fully electric van from Maxus. According to LDV’s chief executive Evgeniy Vereshchagin, the ECV1 as its known has been designed to maximise loadspace and operate very similarly to existing diesel models in order to capitalize on adoption of the new technology. The vehicle is powered by state of the art lithium-ion batteries and is offered with different payload options and range and top speed.
Initial specifications being sought are to have a top-speed of 55mph with a range of 85 miles, manual 5-gear transmission with a payload of up to 1446 kg and achieve a full battery charge within 4 hours or 80% charge within 2 hours based on a 3-phase electricity supply.

The Mercedes Sprinter gets top recognition at the UK’s prestigious annual commercial vehicle awards ceremony ‘The Motor Transport Awards’ at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Each motoring category was judged by its own panel, usually comprising four people selected from the industry for their expertise. Judges were impressed with the Sprinters innovative developments such as ECO-Start which saves fuel in stop-start traffic conditions by automatically cutting the engine while the vehicle is stationary and awarded extra marks for its advanced levels of standard-fit safety features.

Mercedes has launched the new Vito powered by a 3.0litre V6 diesel with a sports styling to match the punch under the bonnet. The Vito Sport comes in two body styles; panel van and dualiner version. The Brabus styling includes some very high-end features such as 18″ alloys, Pur-R-Rim with fog lights, ‘Sport-X’ badges, Illuminated exits, Cruise control and 6 CD-changer. If that’s not enough to get your customers going the potential top speed of 122mph and a 0-60 acceleration time of a mere 8.3 seconds will.

Ford has given the Ranger a very sporty feel with the introduction of a limited number of new Ranger Wildtrak models in Blue with stylish white bonnet stripes. This follows on from the Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST performance models that also sport the “Le Man” livery. The limited edition Wildtrack comes with Lockable load bed cover, ABS and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), air conditioning, heated front seats and an off-road information centre as standard equipment.
