A useable electric van from LDV Maxus
Introducing the prototype fully electric van from Maxus. According to LDV’s chief executive Evgeniy Vereshchagin, the ECV1 as its known has been designed to maximise loadspace and operate very similarly to existing diesel models in order to capitalize on adoption of the new technology. The vehicle is powered by state of the art lithium-ion batteries and is offered with different payload options and range and top speed.
Initial specifications being sought are to have a top-speed of 55mph with a range of 85 miles, manual 5-gear transmission with a payload of up to 1446 kg and achieve a full battery charge within 4 hours or 80% charge within 2 hours based on a 3-phase electricity supply.
